Fort Myers Beach Restaurants Bring Island Flavor to Lakes Park’s Fall Festival

Three Fort Myers Beach restaurants — Doc Ford’s Rum Bar & Grille, Dixie Fish Company and Bonita Fish Company — are teaming up with their Fisherman’s Wharf neighbors to bring a taste of the island to this year’s Scarecrows in the Park at Lakes Park.

The trio built a single entry around this year’s “Scarecrows at Work” theme and will serve a selection of signature desserts during the opening-night celebration. Scarecrows in the Park runs Oct. 9–25 in the park’s Children’s Garden as part of the larger Lakes Park Fall Festival. The scarecrow trail is open Thursdays and Fridays from 5 to 9 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and draws roughly 40 entries built by local businesses, schools, families and community groups. Alongside it, visitors will find a pumpkin patch, the Halloween Express train ride with dancing lights, hayrides, inflatables, concessions and games.

For Fort Myers Beach, it’s a reminder that island hospitality reaches well beyond the sand — and a good excuse for a family afternoon out that the whole crew can enjoy. Doc Ford’s general manager Rebecca Vizcarra said the project is a chance for the Fisherman’s Wharf teams to share ideas and build camaraderie.

Fall is a great time to explore the area around Fort Myers Beach, and community events like this are another sign the region keeps coming back stronger.
