Sanibel Sunrise Sale Returns Sept. 5 — Sunrise Deals Across 40+ Island Shops

The SanCap Chamber’s Sunrise Sale is back for Labor Day weekend. On Saturday, September 5, more than 40 shops across Sanibel will open at sunrise — 7:09 a.m. to be exact — with exclusive deals that run until 5 p.m.

Shoppers can expect tiered discounts up to 50 percent off, BOGOs, free gifts with purchase, and giveaways, along with in-store perks like complimentary breakfasts, mimosas, and chair massages. The event’s popular map-passport is back too: stop at participating retailers for a sticker, collect 10 or more by 5 p.m., and you’re entered into drawings for three grand prizes. Passports are available at the SanCap Chamber Visitor Center (1159 Causeway Blvd.) and at participating merchants.

“Last year proved Sanibel residents and visitors were ready and eager to climb out of bed with the sun for the best deals and to support the community,” said John Lai, SanCap Chamber president and CEO. “It turned out to be a fun, collaborative event that drove summer season traffic.”

For visitors staying on Fort Myers Beach, Sanibel is an easy bridge crossing away — a perfect way to kick off a long holiday weekend with island shopping, waterfront lunches, and that signature Southwest Florida sunrise.
