One of the biggest pieces of Fort Myers Beach’s rebuild is now visibly rising above the sand. The $6 million restroom facility at Lynn Hall Memorial Park has taken shape in recent weeks — a major milestone in the beloved Gulf-front park’s post-Ian restoration.

The project, awarded to Wright Construction Group in December 2025, is far more than a restroom. The scope includes replacing ADA-accessible boardwalks, three 625-square-foot picnic shelters with grills, public parking, new landscaping, lighting, and signage — plus the centerpiece: a 4,114-square-foot elevated restroom building with an ADA platform lift, designed so everyone can comfortably enjoy the park.

Funding comes from FEMA dollars, Regional Park impact fees, and Tourist Development Taxes through the Beach and Shoreline Program — a combination that shows how much this amenity matters to the community. Construction began earlier this year, with completion expected by early summer 2027.

For anyone who remembers Lynn Hall Park before Hurricane Ian, watching these structures go up is a satisfying sign of the island’s comeback — one more amenity returning for the families, beachgoers, and visitors who make Fort Myers Beach special.
