A new Fort Myers Beach holiday tradition is growing. What’s Up FMB has announced the second annual Illuminations Parade, set for Saturday, November 7 at 6 p.m. The walking, ADA-accessible illuminated procession steps off from Sandy Bottom’s Bar & Grill and travels north along Estero Boulevard to Bayside Park, where music and an evening of community celebration follow.

Unlike a traditional parade, this one is built for everyone to join. Families, businesses, nonprofits, schools, clubs and neighborhoods are invited to take part at no cost — in illuminated costumes, themed walking groups, or decorated mobility scooters and wagons. Sponsorship opportunities are still open for organizations that want to support the growing tradition.

For an island that has spent the last few years rebuilding, the parade is more than lights and costumes. It’s proof that Fort Myers Beach traditions are back — and getting brighter. Planning a fall visit? Mark November 7 for an evening on the island families will remember all season.
